OfficialMicrophone Brand of CMW to Honor JUNO Nominee as well as Host On-Site Activitiesand Headphone Giveaways at the Fairmont Royal York's Library Bar







TORONTO – March 8, 2011: Sennheiser announced that it has planned a full range of activities for Canadian MusicWeek (CMW) this year. The audio and headphone specialist, which is also theofficial microphone brand of CMW, will host a range of activities at theFairmont Royal York's Library Bar, including live music performances andongoing demonstrations/giveaways of its latest headphone models.



Highlighting Sennheiser'son-site activities will be two very special live performances by Paul Davidson,winner of the CMW phase of the company's HearIAm campaign. Davidson willperform an acoustic set at The Fairmont Royal York's Library Bar Saturday,March 12th at 8:00 p.m. as well as at Toronto's Mod Club on Thursday, March10th at 7:30 p.m. In addition, fan winners will also be announced on-site at atime and location to be determined.





Since launching last spring,Sennheiser's HearIAm campaign has provided an abundance of opportunity forbands to play at prominent music festivals throughout North America. Thecontest will soon be entering its final phase in which a total of five finalists will competefor a grand prize, which includes a distribution deal from Universal RepublicRecords, an A&R showcase at Universal Republic's headquarters in New Yorkand many other items.





As part of the CMW festivities,Sennheiser will also host a special media/industry only event to honor JUNOAwards nominee Mr. Voltaire on Wednesday, March 9th at Piper's Lounge (insidethe The Fairmont Royal York) between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. All week, Sennheiserwill feature product demonstrations and giveaways in the Library Bar. As the exclusive microphonebrand of CMW, all conference activities -- including the Canadian BroadcastMusic Awards, The Indies and all presentations/celebrity appearances -- will bemiked with Sennheiser technology. Finally, during this year's CMW festivities,Bachman & Turner will be a 2011 inductee into the Canadian Music &Broadcasting Hall of Fame during the Canadian Music and Broadcast IndustryAwards gala on Thursday, March 10th.
