Naked News Uncovered - ‘Naked News’ gets exposed in Super Channel doc

Naked News is getting even more exposed.
Super Channel says it’s pre-licensed the eight-episode documentary series Naked News Uncovered from Toronto-based AllScreen Entertainment.
The Canadian pay-TV channel says the series will “tell the behind-the-scenes stories of the strangest news organization in the world.”
Super Channel plans to begin filming the project this month and air it in summer 2013.
The Toronto-produced Naked News, which began in 1999, has a subscription website and daily TV newscast in which female anchors strip down while delivering the day’s headlines.
Super Channel says the documentary series will chronicle the Naked News team’s “ups and downs as they strive for greater acceptance and success in the mainstream media.”
“At Naked News, we found a quirky subculture of memorable characters that will make for a fascinating doc,” Barri Cohen, co-creator and producer of Naked News Uncovered, said in a statement.
“It’s like a real life version of The Office crossed with the original Newsroom ... but of course with naked anchorwomen.”
Naked News Uncovered is created and executive produced by Allan Novak and Barri Cohen of AllScreen Entertainment.
