CONVOCATION TO FINAL FITNESS TESTING FROM WNT TEAM CANADA NATIONAL HEAD COACH JUAN CARLOS CORDERO

We will be carrying out some of the Final Nike SPARQ Fitness Testing + 12-min Cooper Test sessions. I NEED YOU YOU TO CONFIRM your attendance for this Sunday July 21, 2013, 6 - 8 pm., at Earlscourt Park, South Field, at the Track & Field area besides the grass soccer field.
Please text me or call me to TO CONFIRM.
Please bring comfortable running shoes for the speed run and the aerobic run test. If you can bring your yoga mat for the abs and other physical testing, please feel free to do it. There is a large grass area if we have time after the testing for some small-sided soccer game, so you can also can bring your soccer shoes.
There is public parking by Lansdowne Avenue, St. Clair Avenue West and I have seen soccer players to do it in Caledonia Avenue too. If players are coming by public transit, St. Clair Avenue West Streetcar is OK, as well as 47 A, B or C Lansdowne Bus.

TEST OUTLINE SPARQ, which stands for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness.
There are five tests conducted in the protocol:
Height / Weight
 Vertical Jump Test
 20-meter sprint
 Arrowhead Agility Test
 Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test.

For the Yo-Yo Intermitent Recovery, we need full attendance because it is a very detailed with a lot of protocol test. So, if you cannot make it this Sunday, let me know so we set an alternative day for that with all the players. Still, the other tests will be carried out including the Cooper Test. Players that do not do the test, won't be evaluated or considered for the final roster.
THE WNT PLAYER FITNESS ASSESSMENT is one of the four key areas we will evaluate the final roster (technical, tactica, physical and psychological) and we want to be fair to everyone. As we said in our last meeting, we want you to commit to train and win, we have enough player's talent for that, but we need to work a lot in our teamwork spirit.
