New Brunswick Delegation will be competing in the World Futsal Association (AMF) and Canadian Futsalon Federation CANADA 2013 Women's and Youth Pre-world Cup Challenge at the Powerade Centre, in Brampton, Ontario September 6-7, 2013.
WireService.ca Press Release - 08/12/2013 - The Southeast Futsal Academia Sud-est has been invited to compete in the U14 Boys Tournament. The competition will include Team Canada, USA, Brazil, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.

Futsal is an indoor form of soccer, played 5 against 5. It is derived from the Portuguese "futebol de salão", which can be roughly translated as "hall football". It is a fast, exciting and entertaining version of the beautiful game!

The Southeast Futsal Academia Sud-est will send a U14 boys team. The Academia, a non-profit organization, was formed two years ago and offers Futsal clinics, for U14 and U16 boys, at the Université de Moncton, during the fall and winter months. There are plans to expend the clinics for girls and to other age groups. This is a process but the growing popularity of Futsal will lead to more venues and expansion.

Currently, the U14 Delegation is fundraising for their participation in this Pre-World Cup Challenge. Each player has postcards for sale that will be handwritten and sent to their sponsors from the Tournament in Brampton. Anyone willing to support their efforts, can with a $20!
