VAUGHAN, September 10, 2013 – The Ontario Soccer Association crowned seven Ontario Cup Champions from U14 to Senior, as well as two Provincial Champions in the Over 35 divisions during a thrilling set of Finals this past weekend at Civic Stadium in Oshawa. Ontario Cup action continues Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15, as teams in the remaining nine divisions will battle for provincial supremacy.

For the seven Ontario Cup Champions the job is far from over, as they will now represent our province at the National Club Championships in October.  The Masters and Classics Champions will also represent Ontario, with their National Championships scheduled for the end of September.

This coming weekend, games start as early as 9:00am and kick off as late as 8:30pm, so find some time and come support Ontario's best!  If you cannot make it to the pitch, follow @OSA_Tweeter on Twitter for in-game updates and scores.

Among the teams in action this weekend are those in the highly anticipated Men's division.  Gloucester Celtic will take on Caledon FC in what promises to be a very competitive contest.  Caledon FC had a tough road to the Finals, as it had to surpass two fellow Ontario Soccer League provincial level teams in both the Quarters and Semis, proving that they belong in the Championship game.  Gloucester Celtic will be a tough matchup for the OSL powerhouse, however, as the team cruised through the early rounds of the competition, only conceding one goal in its first three games.  The Men’s Final is scheduled for 6:00pm on Sunday, September 15 and will certainly be worth the trip to Oshawa!
