A second day of Ontario Cup Finals action began the way the first ended with trying weather conditions.
The wet weather wouldn't dampen the spiritis of Brams United and the Woolwich Wolfpack in the U-14 Girls Final however.
The first opportunity of the game would come in the 28th minute, when Woolwich's Tyanna Ventrua, looped a ball in on net from 25 yards out. The Brams goalie Juila Sammut struggled to control the slick ball and spilled it to the foot of Alliyah Rowe who made no mistake in making it 1-0 Woolwich.
There wouldn't be another really good chance until the second half when Woolwich worked a clever set piece from the corner. The ball whipped in found the foot of Linea Ramirez who volleyed it into the top of the net for a 2-0 Wolfpack lead.
Minutes later Rowe would break away from the defenders once again and calmly slotted into the back of the net for Woolwich's third and a commanding lead with just 20 minutes remaining in the game.
The Brams, admirably would continue to press forward, even into the last minutes, but Woolwich was able to shut it down the rest of the way and capture the U-14 Girls Ontario Cup title.
They move on the Canada Soccer Club National Championships in October.
