Tonight we recognize the great achievements of a number of Futsal teams and players in this room, but I would want to say congratulations to everyone. Being an athlete is no easy task. To all our teams, this inaugural year brought a fierce and passionate competition, as well as spectacular quality games, like the 8-8 tie for the third place between LA U and GRIZZLIES, that was won by the former via penalty shots.

Or the final 6-3 that allowed SELECCION VALLE to come back from a 3-1 partial to win the First Championship at LA LIGA and the Founders’ Champions Cup with amazing goals by Zapata, Caro and Sanchez for the Colombia, and Nuno Carvalho for BRASIL FC.

Good luck to all the participating clubs in your future endeavors at the new Futsal seasons at LA LIGA. A big appreciation from our executives to all the coaches, managers, volunteers, staff and spectators. Everyone played a big part in LA LIGA success.

For those of you who have long time playing this fast-paced sport, I urge you to remember why you play and how you fit as sport role model. You play for yourself and the fun to do magic will the low-bouncing ball, play for your teammates and the courage they deliver to win, play for that little boy or girl who fell in love with the Futsal game and look to your technical skills and being able to emulate you.

Make sure to cherish every season, every single game, every practice session.
