You could say Rihanna has had a busy week. The singer slash designer slash beauty entrepreneur took New York City by storm: First, she hosted a runway show for her Savage x Fenty lingerie collection during New York Fashion Week, which featured an all-star cast —Gigi Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, Slick Woods—and highlighted diversity and a wide range of body types. A few days later, she headed on over to the Diamond Ball, where she shut down the red carpet in a lace catsuit by Alexis Mabille, fitted with a full skirt. It’s no surprise, then, that when it came time to make an appearance at a Fenty Beauty event, she would pull out all the stops for a grand fashion finale.
To celebrate her beauty line’s one-year anniversary at Sephora, Rihanna attended the event wearing head-to-toe hot pink in a way that only she can pull off. Her strapless fuchsia silk faille dress was a Calvin Klein by Appointment design by Raf Simons. It featured a long train with ruffled hemline and a strategic slit to showcase her shoe, the matching pink strappy pumps lending a dash of extra visual interest. Given the impactful color choice, Rihanna kept the rest of the look relatively simple, forgoing accessories for shining jewelry that made it extra red carpet-worthy.
