FASHION: Victoria Beckham's label turns 10, we chart the brand's Fashion Week evolution

Cast your minds back a decade and you’re sure to have been guilty of grouping Victoria Beckham with the WAG pack. But the fledgling designer’s debut show shed her former girl band image with just 10 dresses.
Critics were so surprised (as expressed in countless glowing reviews) that they claimed Beckham must have had a ghost team behind her. In retrospect, the dresses could have been hand-picked from the designer’s own power wardrobe with figure-hugging silhouettes and pussybow blouses.
But department stores made a beeline for it and the rest is history. [Photo of Victoria Beckham at New York Fashion Week in 2008: Getty]

Victoria Beckham‘s eponymous label is celebrating its 10th anniversary this season and the former pop star is certainly relishing the success.
To commemorate the milestone, the designer has launched an exclusive 16-piece collection which will be available to shop post-show – a not-to-subtle victory in the face of early critics.
Cast your minds back a decade and Beckham was the leader of the WAG pack and when she showcased her first collection at New York Fashion Week, her hair was still cut in the now-famous posh pixie ‘do.
Fashion’s biggest names crowded at the Waldorf Hotel in anticipation of what many predicted would be the first (and last) time the Spice Girl would rub shoulders with industry insiders.
But it was a resounding success (albeit a surprising one), as Selfridge’s made a beeline for the collection and has sold her label ever since.
