Toronto police looking for pair accused of stabbing, punching man downtown

Toronto police released a security camera image of a man and a woman Sunday after they got into an argument with a male in his 20s on Friday in the downtown core, sending him to hospital with serious stab wounds.

The man wanted by police punched the victim, following him a short distance, then stabbing him “several times” near Bremner Blvd. and Lower Simcoe St. on Friday around 9:30 p.m., police said in a news release Sunday.

Paramedics rushed the 21-year-old to hospital “due to the severity of his injuries and the multiple stab wounds,” Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook said.
She said the man and his female companion fled the scene southbound.
Police have now released a security camera photo of the suspects at large.

The man is described as six-foot, Black and in his late 20s, with a muscular build, short hair and a black beard. He’s seen wearing a tan polo shirt, baggy jeans, tan boots and carrying a shoulder bag.
The woman is described as white, in her mid to late 20s and around five-foot-six, with slim build and long brown straight hair tied back in a pony tail. She was seen wearing a Blue Jays tank top, blue jeans, white sandals, with sunglasses on her head.
