WORLD RELEASE SENSATION: 5 Time Reggae and World Music Nominee- Auresia “Lifts Me Higher” with new International Collaboration Recorded in the Musical City of Santiago de Cuba.

LIFTS ME HIGHER -*Official Music Video* AURESIA, Susan Iris, MC Yeyo,MC Pellon, Rookie, Levis,Sketch
“Lifts Me Higher"  is an groovy latin, reggae, dancehall, reggaeton beat and international collaboration between 5 Cuban Deejays/ Rappers (MC Yeyo, MC Pellon, MC Rookie, Levis & Sketch4), and 2 established singers from Canada and Holland (Auresia & Susan Iris). A song dedicated to the love of music itself and the inspiration it envokes, this is a feel good song that you can’t help to dance to.

How did this groovy international single come about?   “ When I was travellin’ in Cuba a couple years ago to create my album, I met some amazing talented artists (MC Yeyo,  MC Pellon, MC Rookie, Levis & Sketch4) and as I was developing my songs jamming in the local square, we just ended up jamming. Such a musical city, we would literally jam and walk where ever we went. There was this local studio that all the urban artists would hang out (including CandyMan) and one day all 6 of us were there at the same time with this amazing soulful singer from Holland- Susan Iris, who was traveling around as well to absorb some latin musical inspiration. We said, let’s record a song together now! Inspired by our love and inspiring nature of music, we literally wrote and recorded the song in an afternoon.”Auresia

Later this year, they found Simon Sillz, Montreal electronic beat maker and producer to remix the beat adding a feel & groove fresh for 2020. This song recorded in English and Spanish, has the flavour of ‘Despacito’. With Auresiasoulful and catchy musical chorus’, Susan Iris’ Shakira- like voice and the infectious ragga, dancehall, rapping that MC Yeyo, MC Rookie, MC Pellon, Levis & Sketch4 do, this song is a must have on your Spotify playlist.

AURESIA BIOGRAPHY: With musical roots as diverse as the world’s music lovers, Montreal based singer, songwriter and guitarist, Auresia, has been performing and charming audiences since she was just three years old. Effortlessly blending the soul of reggae with various rooted sounds from around the world, Auresia has a penchant for delivering unexpected genre-bending tracks. Her newest single "Lifts Me Higher" has pop melodies "so sweet’ to the ear and ‘so delicious’ they melt like cotton candy. Similar to the feel of "Despacito", it includes infectious ragga, dancehall, rapping that Cuban MC Yeyo, MC Rookie, MC Pellon, Levis & Sketch4 do, Dutch Susan Iris’ Shakira- like voice & Auresia’s soulful catchy musical chorus. ’Lifts Me Higher’ is a collaboration between 6 international artists recorded in the musical city of Santiago de Cuba who came together unexpectedly in the studio one day, spontaneously creating a beautiful musical masterpiece. True to her roots, this is a lead up to Auresia’s new full-length Ukrainian album, Korinnya, scheduled for release in May 2020. This fourth record cleverly showcases her authentic musical stylings combining traditional sounds of Ukrainian instruments (bandura, cimbalom, sopilka) over deep roots reggae rhythms of bass, drums and guitar; the title Korinnya, meaning ‘roots’ in her ethnic language. A followup to her third album Raíces encompassed various Latin, Afro-Cuban and Reggae rhythms, and her "World-Pop-Reggae" sophomore album, Risin’!, was dedicated to love in all its forms including the love of Chocolaté. Throughout all of these records, one thing is consistent- Auresia’s sweet and soulful voice soars across her eclectic roots reggae mix, flying through and beyond the various world music rhythms and enriched with her beautiful harmonies. A singer-songwriter-musician-producer who effortlessly fuses intricate reggae music with world-pop undertones and love of her Ukrainian heritage is not the kind of artist you encounter every day. It’s this very element of surprise that makes Auresia one of the most exciting young talents in the country.

SUSAN IRIS BIOGRAPHY: Currently the director of three very diverse choirs and a primary school music teacher, she has studied with Bobby McFerrin's teachers team in New York State in 2016 to become an improvisational singing leader and performed with the very man himself at Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 2019 Susan Iris recently travelled to the Southern United States and to magical Cuba to dig deeper into latin, blues and jazz music and really feel it through the vibe and culture. She recorded her first commercial song at Manicomio Studios in the very musical city of Santiago de Cuba. Spontaneously collaborating with World- Pop Reggae- Latin Auresia (Canadian 5 x nominee & international singer) and 5 renown Cuban Rappers/ DeeJays (MC Yeyo, MC Pellon, MC Rookie, Sketch4 & Levis), 'Lift's Me Higher' was written and recorded in an afternoon and inspired by the love of 'music'. The beat was recreated and remixed by Canadian producer Simon Sillz for a 2020 sound, dropping to the world in November 2019. Always tapping on something or singing a song that didn’t exist before, those who do have the privilege of hearing Susan Iris will surely smile and get goosebumps from her enchantingly diverse and soulful voice. Susan Iris is a talented and soulful singer, percussionist and multi-instrumentalist from the Netherlands who has been making music since she could hum and drum on things. Early on she discovered she loved the sound of voices ringing together and later got her certification at Conservatory of Haarlem in the Netherlands and further a degree in choral conducting at BALK.
