El tocopillano jugó 84 minutos en la victoria de los Diablos Rojos como visita ante los Hornets, sumando así su segunda victoria consecutiva.
El Manchester United se terminó de levantar. Tras la derrota ante el Tottenham vino la victoria de visita al Burnley y ahora por sobre el Watford, que hasta antes del partido se afirmaba en la punta de la Premier League con cuatro victorias.
En la victoria, Alexis Sánchez destacó como compañero de todos. Se movió por todo el ataque siempre buscando asistir a su socio Lukaku, que tras unos primeros minutos bastante trabados pudo al fin convertir a los 35′. Y es que los Hornets tuvieron chances para abrir el marcador y seguir aumentado la racha, pero todas fueron detenidas por De Gea.
A los 23′ el chileno convirtió un gol que fue correctamente anulado, y a los 30′ incursionó por la derecha, aunque su remate fue detenido de gran manera por Foster, que se erigió como figura de su equipo. Sin el arquero inglés las avispas se habrían ido al descanso con una ventaja mucho mayor. Eso sí, no pudo evitar el gran gol de Smalling a los 37: el defensa paró de pecho y tras un giro definió con fuerza. Imparable

El partido se trasladó a un campo minado donde cualquier error podía costar el partido. El mediocampó desapareció y los ida y vuelta reinaron en los últimos minutos. Sánchez salió a los 84′ por McTominay, en un movimiento defensivo claro por parte del técnico luso. El Watford se fue con todo en busca de la paridad, pero otra vez se encontró con el arquero español.
El Manchester United termina de levantarse a costa de un sorprendente y luchador Watford, que no pudo extender su invicto ante Alexis Sánchez y compañía.

Sport Media Award was approaching, and after receiving plenty of messages asking
for an extension, we have decided to offer a gift to all of you: a five-day
extension.
Yes, five more days to submit your work, five more days to those that still could not make a decision on which article to submit, or that were requesting some extra days to find missing pdfs, audio or video files that needed to be converted.
New (and final) deadline is next Saturday, September 22nd, at 6pm (CET).
Massive interest
The number five does not come by chance. It is a number that pays homage to the five continents, because we have received works from across the globe.
As a true sign of success, there are more than 100 participating countries in the Awards' first edition, a confirmation of its global character. And all this happened just with a six-month promotion.
More than 100,000 US$ in prizes
Categories include Photography (Action Picture; Portfolio), Writing (Best Column; Best Colour Piece), Video (Athlete Profile; Documentary), Audio and Journalistic Weblog.
The works will be reviewed by the Executive Committee, with the help of the national associations, and a jury of 11-respected members of the sport media industry will shortlist the 10 candidates of each category.
The three finalists will be invited to Lausanne, in January 2019, where winners will be announced. Each winner will earn 8,000 US$. The second-placed will get 3,000 US$ and the third-placed, 2,000 US$.
