Jane Seymour ditches the frills and corset for black and red shift dress at screening of new film Austenland

In her latest film Austenland, Jane Seymour is dressed in corsets, frills and ruffles.
However, when it came to a special screening of the movie on Tuesday, the actress went for a more contemporary look.
The English star looked years younger than her 62 years as she showed off her slim figure in a black and red shift dress as she attended a screening in Los Angeles.

The new film, which is produced by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and directed by Jerusha Hess, is a comedy adapted from Shannon Hale's novel of the same name.
Austenland stars Keri Russell as Jane Hayes, a single American woman obsessed with Jane Austen's 1813 novel Pride & Prejudice and the BBC TV adaptation of it.
She spends all her savings on a trip to an Austen-themed resort in England - which is run by Seymour's character c.

The movie also stars JJ Feild as her love interest Mr Henry Nobley, Jennifer Coolidge as fellow holidaymaker Ms Elizabeth Charming, Scottish actress Georgia King as Lady Amelia Heartwright and ex-Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle as Captain George East.
Tuesday's screening hosted by TheWrap came ahead of the film's actual Los Angeles premiere on Thursday.
Jane is back on the promo trail for her new movie following her recent split from fourth husband James Keach.

Wow. If we look as good as Jane Seymour at her age...or even half her age, we'll be feeling pretty smug!

The British actress looked absolutely stunning at a screening of her new film Austenland.

Jane's dress is by a little known German designer called Erika Suess, who our sources tell us was introduced to Jane by a mutual friend. If this dress is anything to go by we think Erika has a bright future ahead of her.

Ever since Chris de Burgh famously sang 'Lady in red' a red dress has been an iconic purchase. Red can be an overpowering colour, so a dress like Jane's, with black detailing, is a good way to tone it down.

A classic pencil dress such as this will always look smart and neat, and is perfect for a special dinner or formal party.
