MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- USA TODAY continues to hold the number one spot for total daily circulation in the United States, according to the latest Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) report released today. Total USA TODAY daily circulation grew to 4,139,380 for the period ending September, 30, 2014 which is up 43.9% year-over-year. Total circulation figures include daily national print (1,083,200), local edition (1,571,466), digital replica (52,198), digital non-replica (1,386,629) and other branded editions (45,887).
USA TODAY's continued growth in overall daily circulation was led by the completed rollout of the USA TODAY local edition to 35 Gannett print and e-newspapers. This strategic effort, which gives expanded news content to local readers and broader opportunity for advertisers, has been very well received.
