Ontario Coaches Week 2014 - September 20th-27th

Ontario Coaches Week (OCW) is a week long campaign that aims to recruit, develop and celebrate community coaches around the province. We are excited to tell you all about what will be happening during OCW2014!
Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards
Let’s recognize the great coaches of this province! The Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards kick off OCW on Saturday, September 20^th at the Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto. The Awards celebrate the dedication and commitment of exemplary people who inspire, innovate and share knowledge of sport with others. Click the Coaching Excellence Awards Button below to learn more.
NCCP Courses and Events
The CAO will be offering a FREE NCCP multi-sport course on each day of the week across the province:

• Sunday, September 21^st – Fundamental Movement Skills
• Monday, September 22^nd – Make Ethical Decisions
• Tuesday & Wednesday, September 23^rd & 24^th – Planning a Practice & Nutrition
• Thursday, September 25^th – Design a Basic Sports Program
• Friday, September 26^th – Basic Mental Skills
• Saturday, September 27^th – Teaching and Learning

We have also partnered up with some Provincial Sport Organizations to offer the following grassroots level NCCP sport-specific courses FREE to participants:

• Curling Club Coach (Atikokan, September 26^th-28^th)
• Special Olympics Community Sport Coach (Cornwall, September 27^th)
• Ice Hockey Intro Coach (New Liskeard, September 20^th)
• Karate Instructor Beginner (Thunder Bay, September 27^th-28^th)
