A cousin of Duchess Kate Middleton has posed for Playboy.

Katrina only found out about being related to Kate last year when a reporter called her up just before the royal wedding, where Kate married her college sweetheart, Prince William.
"It was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard," she told Playboy. "It's not every day something like that happens."

The dancer is currently performing in burlesque shows across the U.S. and Europe, including a new revue called "A Royal Dream."
"Burlesque is a platform for me to explore these kinds of things. The more into it the audience is, the more into it I am," she said.
For those wondering why Katrina only recently found out she was related to Kate, their relationship has been exaggerated by the press. The two are actually distant cousins. According to the Daily Mail, they are second cousins, once removed.

Apparently it ain't over till the royal burlesque dancer strips down for Playboy.
Lest you forget about Kate Middleton's stripper cousin, Katrina Darling is considering posing nude for a Playboy spread. According to British tabloid Now (i.e. giant grain of salt), "Katrina's enjoyed some success in the US following her burlesque performances and now she's attracted the attention of Playboy." Now's "source" adds, "She hasn't agreed to do it yet, but it'd be hugely embarrassing for Kate."
And the whole royal family, we imagine. Katrina's burlesque repertoire includes an act called "God Save The Queen" in which she dons a tiny crown, nipple tassels and, well, not much else. She performed her racy royal act at a New York club in March and is reportedly shopping a reality TV show that follows her burlesque show on a cross-country U.S. tour.
Her dancing career has taken off so much (so to speak) that she quit her day job as a portfolio analyst at Barclays.
So will her next career move be a Playboy spread? All the reports are pretty speculative, but we wouldn't be too surprised -- Katrina clearly has no qualms about doffing her clothes for American audiences.
In other (slightly more believable) royal news, Kate and William are apparently contemplating baby names. If the future royal is a girl, her middle names will be Elizabeth, after her great-grandmother, and Diana, after her grandmother.
Katrina doesn't seem to be on the short list.
UPDATE, 7/11/12: It's happening, folks: Page Six reports that Darling is indeed posing for Playboy's September issue, set to drop August 17.
