On Monday, July 9, the Volunteer Center at Luzhniki Stadium and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Football Park on Red Square will host special events to recognize FIFA World Cup volunteers and their excellent support.
FIFA Legends Michel Salgado (Spain) and Julio Baptista (Brazil), FIFA World Cup Ambassadors Yana Churikova and Dmitry Bulykin and 2018 FIFA World Cup Local Organizing Committee representatives will have a tour of the Volunteers Centre and see how volunteers from different countries and parts of Russia prepare for their shifts and rest. The volunteers are also preparing a flashmob dance to welcome them.
Later, there will be a football match at the 2018 World Cup Russia™ Football Park on Red Square. The teams will feature Russian and foreign volunteers, LOC Chairman Arkady Dvorkovich, FIFA Legend, Yana Churikova and Dmitry Bulykin.
After the match, there will be a media opportunity with the participants.
Media representatives are invited to attend the events*.
Preliminary schedule (Moscow time here and below):
Part 1. The Volunteer Center at Luzhniki Stadium:
16:00 – 17:00 – Welcome speeches by the visitors, tour and flashmob
17:00 – 18:00 -- Transfer to Red Square
Part 2. Football match at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Football Park on Red Square:
18:30 – 20:15 – Welcome speeches, football match, award ceremony, photo opportunity and mixed zone
*Please note that the Volunteer Centre at Luzhniki Stadium will only be open to media representatives with 2018 FIFA World Cup accreditation. To get accreditation for both parts of the event please register via the following link until 8 July 19.00 MSK (18.00 CET).
