Neighbourhood traumatised as two girls, aged five and nine, shot in Scarborough playground
It's clear that is going to be another Year of the Gun. But it seems Toronto Police is not acting with enough decision, like simply thinking these are incidents with targeted people or random attacks. Bystander and innocent people
Footage of two suspects in another incident - clearly dressed in a gangster fashion -, where the shooter failed to kill the random victim (an old man with a cane and bystander in another corner who saved himself entering to a building), shows to any crime or media specialist that are criminal in full form, using killing as ritual initiation to be accepted into a gang group (similar to Marasalvatrucha in Central America and main cities of United States, Caribbean drug - cocaine and marijuana - gangs, African groups into drug dealings, the motorcycle gangs, Mafia from Italy and Europe, or even Central Asia).
There is a team specialized in gangs in Toronto Police but you have to go after them before more killings are committed this 2018 and other years. Like Giulani did when major of New York. Also, there other incidents were people are assaulted, beaten and robbed, but when you call Police to ask for help, they said if you are not injured they have more urgent stuff to deal.
In my case, I have attacked 16 times in Toronto (14 times by members of a group that has high criminality rate, but I cannot name for not sound like politically incorrect) and was able to defend myself or get out of the situation. Last time, after going to a washroom at Rogers Road and Keele Street, a guy of a particular group blocked me the exit, throw me a punch, started to bringing in again to assaulted me and robbed me.

I push his arm to be able to destabilize him, and went out telling the Value Village manager the incident and I was calling Police. They security guard, but the guy didn't even moved. I called the Police. First, in 911, the attendant said that they will arrive in 5 minutes. The officer though confronted me saying that I couldn't in the place that I said because it will take more than 5 minutes. But I was there 50 metres from the store. Did he wanted to go back to Value Village and wait for the guy? Incredible, but it is not the first time. At St. Clair subway other guy try to assaulted me. TTC constables arrived after 45 minutes. Police after 1:30 minutes. If the guy got me, I will be injured.
How can you safe in your streets with so many incidents that are not taking care? Those robbers or attackers are out. I called the Police in an incident in the streetcar track in St. Clair and Dufferin Street. where three boys - no more than 14 years old I will say - from a particular group attacked a single immigrant boy who fortunately fight back to avoid the beating. One of them branded a knife and then I scream and :Police called me back.
The attacker boy run away and his knife fell less than two meters from my feet. I looked at me, took it and run. Police arrived late tough. I spoke to the office in charge, because all those boys will be back in school next days and bullying or attack will go under gang rule of not rating. Oh my God. I called the TDSB board and advise to investigate. But they don't do enough either.
In another incident that I witness in a school near Bloor and Gladstone, two teenager boys robbed a sandwich from a girl from the school and laughed at her. I went to the vice-principal office, told her to watch the footage and call the Police. She was reluctant to call afraid of the boys in the school. |I did call the TDSB. In a friend case, the principal told her to move her son out of that particular school because bullies were not going to stop. A boy 14 or 17 that carries a knife or a gun, it is not longer a child, he knows guns kill people and need to be dealt by the justice as adult. There is not even theoretical rehabilitation.
Those guys do petty crime and bullying in a daily basis and many in the future join many of the dozens of gang groups in the City.

We need to be able to recover this city of Toronto before it looks lie Bogota, Medellinm, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, New York, European cities and other around the world, to name a few. When Police has acted swiftly with specialized groups, crime rates is down. If not, people live in constant fear.

A Scarborough neighbourhood is in shock after two sisters, ages 5 and 9, were shot at a playground Thursday afternoon.
The two girls were taken by ambulance to Sick Kids Hospital.
The two girls were taken by ambulance to Sick Kids Hospital.
Paramedics confirmed that the younger child was shot in the abdomen and the older girl was shot in the ankle. Both underwent surgery and their conditions have been upgraded to non-life-threatening.
“Obviously, these two young girls are not the intended target. Some cowards came into this neighbourhood and opened fire into a playground,” Toronto police Chief Mark Saunders told reporters at the scene. “ This act is despicable, and rest assured that we’ll put adequate resources to resolve this one.”
Toronto paramedics received a call about 5 p.m. regarding a shooting at Alton Towers Circle, in the area of McCowan Rd. and McNicoll Ave. Seven shots were fired.

There were about a dozen children in the park at the time and one man who may have been the target, police said. He has been identified as a person of interest in the investigation.
By 8 p.m., Alton Towers Circle was crowded with police cars and blocked off by incident tape. Residents in the neighbourhood of townhouses stood on their porches and in their driveways to watch the commotion.
Imran Yasar, a father of three, who lives in the neighbourhood said he came home to a street filled with police cars.
“I feel very sad,” said Yasar, who has lived in the area for eight years. “We’ve never had any incident like (this).”

Paula Shipley and her daughter were in their living room when they heard what she described as popping sounds.
Shipley initially thought the sound was hammering. “They’re doing all kinds of construction and everything,” she said.

Then her neighbour called and said “two little girls have been shot.”
Shipley said she knows the whole family. “The kids always come and hug me,” she said. “They’re a big family.”
She said she believed it was the first shooting in the neighbourhood involving a child. “It’s unbelievable.”
One woman who lives nearby, described the neighbourhood as “beautiful” and safe — so safe one can sleep on the street and be OK. She said the entire neighbourhood was in shock.
Police are looking for two suspects who were in a car at the time — one driver and one male shooter who approached the park by foot and then escaped with the driver. Police said they are looking for a black 2007-2011 Nissan Versa sedan.
Sgt. Jim Gottell, of 42 Division, said the vehicle was located in a parking lot behind the playground. He said the school the children attend has been notified, but declined to release the name of the institution.
Mayor John Tory said in a statement Thursday night that the shooting was “a totally unacceptable act of gun violence.”
“I cannot imagine the anguish the family and friends of the two girls shot while playing in a park are experiencing tonight. This entire city wants these girls to make a full recovery and this entire city wants justice for them.”
The playground is tucked between the townhouses, bordered by the street and the parking lot. Last night the parking lot at 80 Alton Towers remained entirely cordoned off. Cars were still parked within the boundaries of the yellow caution tape. Police vehicles scattered throughout the neighbourhood included a forensic services van.
Police are canvassing the neighbourhood for video. They are asking anyone with information to call 416-808-2222 or Crime Stoppers.
