Police release additional video footage of suspects in Mississauga restaurant bombing


The explosion took place while two birthday parties were being celebrated inside the popular Indian restaurant. Police said earlier that around 40 people were on scene at the time and 15 were injured.
Peel Regional Police released new surveillance footage showing suspects fleeing from the site of a bombing in Mississauga last Thursday.
The new video, which police uploaded on YouTube, shows the suspects fleeing from the area near Bombay Bhel Restaurant, where a homemade bomb injured 15 people the night of May 24.
Police seek possible witnesses driving or walking in the area of Forum Drive and Thornwood Drive, Mississauga on Thursday May 24, near Bombay Bhel.
According to police, the footage shows one of the suspects coming close to being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Thornwood Dr. and Forum Dr. on the night of the explosion, which occured around 10:30 p.m.
Police are asking for the driver of the vehicle and any other drivers in the area to contact them.
Peel Police said, in a press release, that they will also be canvassing the area near Thornwood and Forum Dr. from the evening of May 31 into Friday morning, June 1, but investigators will also be available at their command post to receive any information about the explosion.

Police released descriptions for two suspects. The first suspect is described as about 5’10” to 6’ in height and of a “stocky build” and seen wearing dark pants, a dark coloured hoodie pulled over his or her head, a baseball cap with a “dark material” covering his or her face.
The second suspect is described at 5’ 1” to 6’ in height and of a medium build and seen in blue jeans, and a dark hoodie pulled over his or her head with a “dark material” covering hiss or her face.
